Issue #8 - Friday 23 December 2005

- Admin note -

Well, that's it for the year. SG Horizon ep 2.11, "The Devil to Pay", has been released - it being the final episode of the first part of Season two. The next episode will be released sometime next year, however, I am unaware of the release date, if it has been set.
This might be the last news e-mail for a few weeks as while we have no shows airing each week we might not have anything to report. However, on the 17th Jan, we will be sending around an e-mail, to welcome the new year in with the premiere of SG Destiny!

Have a great Christmas and we'll see you all next year!!

Join the SGU Staff - write reviews & interviews

Well, now that Horizon Season 2 mid-season break is almost upon us, and the next scheduled episode after that for any show is from Destiny on the 17th of January, I fear that SGU news will be pretty slow for many weeks.

Now, to break the bordem it would be a great time for us to post reviews, features, interviews, and other such things however... We need your help! If you are interested in writing reviews (or have written some already), or want to conduct interviews, or have any other ideas on what we can do over the break to keep people entertained, let us know!

Send us an e-mail with suggestions and/or applications smile
(Don't forget to send us a sample of your work if you are applying to write reviews and such for us)

SGA- Change in Staff

Well Atlas has been quiet lately, and thats been due to a number of different reasons, which former Producer Danny Loach has explained to us:

"As you all know I have been attempting to recruit writers for the last two months and as some know I did find a great writer who agreed to take over from me in the writing department, with me remaining as pretty much everthing else.

However, I have recently been struggling with multiple issues and masses of stress, meaning that I have had to do something I never wanted to do. As of today my chief writer and his team of writers have taken over the production of Atlas, and I have stepped aside.

You will still see Atlas in the near future, but I will no longer be a part of it beyond creative consultant.

Although he does not wish to join SGU he has agreed to provide links to the finished episodes when they are released around August/September"

So, doesn't look like we'll be seeing much more of Atlas here on SG Universe, but good luck to the new guy and I hope you the best.

SGH - The Cold and Distant Stars released.

Returning from the three week Thanksgiving hiatus, this weeks episode "The Cold and Distant Stars" is a character focused episode in which Sivea has to deal with her complex relationship with Sonak:

"As Sonak is found on board a heavily damaged ship, the Horizon team discovers that the balance of power in the galaxy is being altered."

I'd like to appologise for my lateness in posting about this, had exams this week so haven't had chance to get online. However, that done, head on over and download the latest episode of Stargate Horizon.
