I was hoping for the new system to work, however, it would appear that it doesn't wanna work, so its back to the old system and piping this through it. I hope this works for you all, but if it doesn't let me know (screenshots are useful) and I will see what I can do to fix it.
On a side note, this is around the 10th time I've tried to send this. So lets hope it worked!
Anyway, Enjoy.
~Val

New Mailing list - Installed
I am currently in the process of moving the SGU Mailing list from one system to another.
The new system supports both text and HTML based e-mails, and both have been configured. It is still however, in the testing stages so if you find any bugs let me know.
Because of how the new system works, you will need to signup here to go onto the new system: http://sg-universe.net/maillist/
It will then send you a confirmation e-mail, before you are fully on the system.
I will be sending out Issue #4 tomorrow, so if you signup now you won't miss it :)
EDIT: Well, the new system isn't playing fair and is refusing to send to people so I am going to pipe it through the current system.. Im not sure if it will work, but ah well.. its worth a try.

SGH - SG Omega interviews Alex Rubit
Along with it's newly done website, Stargate Omega has published a lengthly interview with Alex Rubit, Executive Producer, Creator, Writer and oh so many more things for the series, Stargate Horizon:
"Steven Reggers: How do you begin with writting a story? Do you wake up one morning and think to yourself: hey let us make today a Vorian officer the new commander.
Alex Rubit: Sometimes you come up with the best ideas in the middle of the night or in the morning or while you're taking a shower. I think most writers are constantly considering new potential ideas. But basically if anyone of us comes up with an idea that might work it gets brought up in one of our online story meetings. We then discuss it, and get everyone's thoughts or suggestions on it. After the idea is given the green light, the writer will then go and write an outline, which is really just the way it works on television shows."
He talks about several things, including inspiration for the series, Alex personally. The interview has a few minor spoilers about the upcoming episodes Parti Pris and The Cold and Distant Stars. Be sure to read the whole interview and why not check out the site while you're there. Look out for our interview with Alex, which shall be coming sooner or later.

SGD - New Blog Article
Geoff of Stargate Destiny has just recently updated it's blog. This time talking about their new staff members:
"Anyway, I thought I might bring you up to speed on what's been going on with our staff lately. As you all know, Terminus left the SGD staff several weeks back, as EAG mentioned in the last article here. But no sooner than he left, did we get another crew member, followed by another! Our first addition to the team is Brian, who is known on the forum as Samuels. He is our newest writer, and will be writing episode 1.06, as well as edit several other episodes. The second addition to the team is Phil, who, on the forum, is known as Disarray. He's our newest concept artist, bringing our art department to two people! His first project is a technical drawing and action shot of one of the fighters that will be seen throughout the series: the F-308 Space Superiority Fighter."
Check out the entire thing.

New Mailing list
Those of you on the mailing list might have noticed that we missed it last week. Well, that was because we were looking into other solutions and lost track of time... ok, we forgot. However, that won't happen again... well, we hope anyway... because I am currently in the process of installing a new script which will run the mailing list. It has many features, like automated mail-outs, which means that even if we forget you will still be kept up-to-date with our news, it also supports HTML e-mails which we are planning on implementing as well.
So, signup now so that when we do upgrade the system you don't miss out!

New Forum Skin
I figured that since there are so many virtual series' in the making, and since SGUs purpose is provide a central HUB for them all, why not give them their own skins on our forum. I have finished making one based on SG Horizon, and have began to a Destiny one, but here is the finished result:

So you Horizon fans, want to know how to change your skin? Of course you do. To select the Horizon skin: Profile --> Modify Profile and there should be a drop down menu towards the bottom of the page, it should currently say something like Stargate Universe Skin. If you click the dropdown menu, it will give you the option to select other skins.

SGH - Unseen in Czech
So here we are with another czech translation of SG Horizon. This team the team bring you a translation of 1x10 Unseen, an episode which brings us face to face with an old enemy and an even older ally:
"The fight for freedom is over – the fight for honour is just beginning. A Jaffa colony stands up against a powerful and almost forgotten enemy. They are willing to fight to the death, and Tom and David get caught up in the middle of it. Yet how can one defeat an enemy, which is unseen?"
Well, you know the drill. Head on over and download the latest czech translation of the hit series, Stargate Horizon.
EDIT: Sorry, I originally stated this was a slovak translation when in fact it was czech. My mistake.

SGH - The Fantastic Three
Unfortunetly, the most awaited episode of this side of the season saw itself delayed. This episode is the comical one of the season, which is a follow up to the season one episode, Other Cultures, which features the character Arina and a surprise character from SG1, Dr Jay Felger:
"As Chase, Arina, and Dr. Jay Felger are kidnapped by a group of Ventorians who are after something Arina has in her possession, an adventure begins that leads this trio of heroes to a strange planet and some surprising discoveries."
So, get ya self over to the SG Horizon website and download The Fantastic Three, which is surely to be a fantastic episode.

SGL - Blog Update
The Stargate Legacy blog has also recieved an update. This one talks alittle about the main characters of the series, and a little about when and how we meet them. Not enough to spoil it however. It also talks a little about the place in which Legacy is set:
"So I thought I might pop on and tell you all about our pilot episode: Heliopolis. It shall be released as feature length script, and then later on, possibly as two seperate episodes. Well first off, the name of the episode, is for some reason, also the name of the base in which Legacy takes place at. Heliopolis is actually the city of Ra. The place where scholars, priests - The brains of ancient times would get together and share all their latest break throughs in the world of science. I must add that this Heliopolis has nothing to do with the one from The Torment of Tantalus since the castle shouldn't have called Heliopolis. The place had nothing to do with the Goa'uld. Heliopolis was actually ran by Thoth, who at the time of the facilities building, was an underlord to Ra."
It also seems that SG Legacy has a couple of new writers as well. Read the entire thing.

SGD - New Blog Article
Well the Destiny blog has been pretty quiet lately, but a new article has been posted. One letting us know they're still alive and at work. It contains little bits of information about upcoming episodes and a bit of interesting regarding the latest happenings behind the scenes:
"Providence (Part One) is soon to be entering editing. Samuels is going to be going through it, making sure everything is correct and spelt properly. After that comes the removal of scenes, and changing of dialogue and such things. Not that anything needs to be removed. It's just some scenes are too long, too much detail or iffy dialogue here or there."
What are you waiting for? Check it out.
