Issue #13 - Tuesday 21 February 2006

- Admin note -

Its one more week until Destiny's next episode comes out, so at the moment things are pretty boring. Although, we at SGU did announce something new: SGU Prodctions!

If you've been thinking about writing a SG VS, but don't have the time (like me), then SGU Productions is your chance to write something!
Checkout the news post below for more information.

Enjoy,

SGH- Another Czech Episode

The Czech guys have finished the translation of the 3rd episode of the Enoly Trilogy:

"Chase, Sivea, and Melanos come to realize that their best bet will be to listen to the Sentinels, and work with Sivok in order to retake Horizon.
With less than two hours until the full Enoly fleet passes the Spacegate into the MW-Galaxy, Grant, Tom, and Christine must fight to regain control over the station, which is boarded by Enoly troops."

You all know the drill by now. If your czech, check it out.

Announcing SGU Productions

Stargate Universe is proud to announce it's latest feature, SGU Productions. Unlike Horizon or Destiny Productions, SGU Productions is for people who want to experience what it is like creating a virtual series, however without the long term commitment. We are going to be producing mini-series and virtual movies/episodes.

However, where this is a benefit to you guys is, you pitch the story, we help produce it, give it a section on the website. Not only does it offer people the chance to experience making an online series, but it is also the perfect opportunity for an uncommon story.

Feel free to start pitching stories to us, but take this opportunity to do something different. A mini-series from the POV of the Tok'ra, or etc. If you have any questions, feel free to ask us. If you have a pitch, e-mail us at productions@sg-universe.net

In the pitch, be sure to include information on how long the mini-series would be (eg. three feature length scripts), basic series synopsis, episode synopsis' and character information.

Good luck, hope to hear from you soon.

SGH - Two New Crew Blogs

Mike and Vincent (no, not the dog from Lost, one of the new writers for Horizon) have started their own blogs. Both are pretty new. Mikes has one article, but interesting none the less:

"So, where should I start? Horizon, I suppose. Things certainly are developing smoothly with Horizon. After today's meeting, we have at least an idea for every single episode of the season, and an interesting one it shall be. We've got some freaky dreams, a ZPM, the Enoly, a "grace" episode, the Aschen, and the return of several new characters in the second half of the season. Horizon is always a bit dark, but I'll just say that things are going to go down the crapper for our dear team later on. Darker episodes include "Path of Revelation," "Night Terrors," "Amazing Grace," "Catch 22", and, of course, the mysterious season finale we have planned, and season finales are guarenteed a bit of darkness here and there, no?"

And Vincent's has 3 articles:

"To quote Mike Coakley : "You know the news, so why not post it?". OK, fine, Alex updates his blog once every never, so here goes. So far production is coming in well. We're cracking stories out of nowhere and getting them down into scripts a hell of a lot faster than last season. Every meeting we have tends to last absolutely ages. But hey, the work gets done and Alex has a smile on his emoticon."

Like with Alex's expect to see a report when these guys update their blogs. Mikes Blog and Vincents Blog.
